DNC2020 set out to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable economy by identifying and discussing the concepts that nexus thinking offers to support the move towards a circular economy. A detailed description of the thematic scope is in the Concept Note.

In its virtual format, the diverse programme was adapted into new digital formats. High-level keynote speakers shared their insights and joined live Q&A sessions, while sessions with contributions from international experts gave a more in-depth look at nexus-oriented strategies for sustainable development — including expert views on circular-economy developments in their respective countries.

Posters and poster presentations were also made available via the conference website.
